|Washington's Paid Family and Medical Leave Program|
Washington is the fifth state to offer paid family and medical leave benefits. Anyone who works 820 hours or more in the qualifying period is eligible for PFML. All Washington employers, including out-of-state employers with Washington employees, are required to participate with few exceptions. Learn what responsibilities you have as an employer participating in this statewide insurance program.

Matt LaPalm is the Small Business Specialist in the Paid Family and Medical Leave team. With a background in small and medium businesses, he understands how challenging running a business can be and how this new statewide insurance program will impact Washington’s small and independent employers.
